At the end of June, the 2022 IBGE census was released. The numbers regarding those who declared themselves to be members of various religions led to a wide range of discussions and observations. Of course, the decline in the number of self-proclaimed Spiritists raised numerous questions.

Knowing that Spiritism will not be shaken in its foundation by these numbers, we need to reflect on ourselves: what have we done or failed to do to ensure that the Spiritist Doctrine reaches more hearts?

The dissemination of Spiritism, its concepts, and practices, may have contributed to many brothers and sisters declaring themselves part of other religious groups, just as others, due to a lack of knowledge, may not have recognized themselves as Spiritists.
